Miller joins lime beer club

Miller Canada and Molson have jointly launched Miller Chill – a premium light lime flavoured beer – across the province of Alberta.

“We’re asking Albertans to rethink their beer routine,” said Peter Bombaci, senior brand manager, Miller Chill. “Light and lime is a beer combination that can be enjoyed year-round and should appeal to those looking for a change of pace.”

What separates Miller Chill from the rest of the pack is that it makes beer the focal point, according to the company. The beer is also heavily marketed as containing a mere 100 calories and four grams of carbohydrates per bottle.

The company says Miller Chill created the premium light with lime category, first launching in the U.S. back in 2007. It quickly established a loyal following, along with an army of imitators. As a result, the lime beer segment has exploded in popularity across North America, locally selling more than 1.6 million (both bottles/cans) to date in Alberta alone.

“Miller Chill is the perfect wingman for late season barbecues, relaxing after a busy day at the office or just chilling out with friends,” said Bombaci. “We invite Albertans to take us for a taste drive this weekend and tell us what they think.”

Miller Chill is now available in 12-pack bottles in retail locations across Alberta.
